APPLICATION FOR VOLUNTEERS

Here’s how to become a volunteer:

1. Review our Volunteer Opportunities.
2. Choose the volunteer position you are interested in.
3. Fill out the form at the end of this page.
4. Attend orientation/training (if necessary).
5. Start building children’s futures globally while inspiring children locally

‍Responsibilities of our Volunteers:
Regularly participate in volunteer meetings, committees and important related discussions.
Make a serious commitment to participate actively with the organization and on committee work.
Stay informed about committee issues, prepare for meetings, and act promptly on responsibilities.
Be an active participant in committee and planning efforts.
Avoid any conflicts of interest.
Maintain confidentiality.
Participate in fundraising or special events.
Publicly support the organization’s mandate.

VOLUNTEER COMMITTEES

EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH
‍
The purpose of the Educational Outreach Committee is to develop, maintain, and execute on educational programs to assist in the overall learning of sustainable development within our schools, universities, and community groups.

EVENT PLANNING & FUND DEVELOPMENT
‍
The purpose of the Event Planning & Fund Development Committee is to host KIDS Initiative’s two annual events, recruit and help coordinate 3rd party events supporting the organization, building on fundraising campaigns, and to develop fund development programs such as; major gifts, tribute, bequests, etc.

DONOR MANAGEMENT & STEWARDSHIP
‍
‍The purpose of the Donor Management & Stewardship Committee is to properly manage all donor information, develop a better streamline method in consistent communication with our donors, and to uphold a professional level of stewardship for all stakeholders/donors.
‍
GRANT WRITING & PROGRAM EVALUATION
‍
The purpose of the Grant Writing & Program Evaluation Committee is to perform research to determine potential funding sources, apply for grants, manage expectations and reporting required through funders, develop and maintain program evaluation structure and needs.
‍
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
‍
The purpose of the Marketing & Communications Committee is to help in marketing any/all programs and events, maintaining our organizations brand guidelines through various platforms and documents, as well as communicating proactively to our donors, volunteers, stakeholders, programs, and the overall community.
PHOTOGRAPHER/ VIDEOGRAPHER
‍
‍We are always looking for experienced individuals to cover our events and initiatives both locally and internationally.  Local opportunities would consist of obtaining images and video content at our local events. International opportunities would consist of travelling with KIDS Initiative on our yearly distribution trips to cover the work being done (request would be made that the individual pay for their own travel fees, while KIDS Initiative would cover all accommodation, food, and life-altering experiences!)

The purpose of the Volunteer Management Committee is to ensure that our organization is always staffed with the best and most reliable individuals and that volunteers feel valued and are correctly utilized for the fulfillment of our mission.
